FORGED HIGH-CARBON STAINLESS, FULL TANG, RIVETED: The blade is forged from a single piece of high-carbon stainless that runs the full length of the solid American walnut handle and is secured with two riveted pins. It holds an edge for clean cuts, resists corrosion and staining, and stays straight.
SAFE ON GRANITE, MARBLE, BUTCHER BLOCK AND STEEL: The blade clears flour, butter, dough and fond off stone, wood, stainless and flat tops without gouging, provided you work at a low angle and let the edge do the job rather than pressing down hard. On granite.
HAND WASH ONLY, NO HANGING HOLE: The walnut handle is oil-finished and not dishwasher safe; machine washing dries and cracks the wood. A rinse and a towel dry takes ten seconds. There is no drilled hole in the handle by design.
