How do I clean the pizza stone?

*Stains are natural on ALL cordierite stones! This will not affect the performance or function of the stone.

Never use soap or detergent—the stone will absorb it! Instead:

Once cool, Scrape off food residue with a spatula or brush.

Wipe with a cloth.

Can I put a cold stone in a hot oven?

No! A cold stone going into a hot oven can cause thermal shock and crack the stone.

How Do I Clean the Pizza Peel?

Since water and wood do not mix well, we suggest you use white vinegar (full strength) to clean your peel. The vinegar acts as a disinfectant. Simply scrape off food and wash over with vinegar. Wipe with cloth to dry completely.
